Yesterday I went to the zoo, saw a gibbon and was reminded of a dance craze. Any of these three could have been pythons had things worked out differently.

Thanks for that second version of that gal, edgar. Always appreciate your comments as well as our one by Ontario via Germany.

hbg, hurry back and I loved both of those songs, especially La Donna Mobile.

Two songs for the morning here is our Florida radio station. First a tribute to Sir Elton via Billy Joel:

Bessie Smith (April 15, 1894 – September 26, 1937) was an American blues singer.

Nicknamed The Empress of the Blues, Smith was the most popular female blues singer of the 1920s and 1930s.[1] She is often regarded as one of the greatest singers of her era and, along with Louis Armstrong, a major influence on other jazz vocalists.

@Region Philbis,
All these bumps. . . . Maybe someone can dig up Duane Eddy's '40 miles of bad road'.

I didn't know Stay by Maurice and The Zodiacs either, edgar, but they were good. Thanks for your comment and personal acknowledgement, dear friend.

Going to say goodnight a bit early as there is a storm brewing here.

First, a friend song and dedicate to all of you here. Sorry for the solicitation.

good morning all and happy birthday to Herbie Mann .

Quote:
Herbert Jay Solomon (April 16, 1930 – July 1, 2003),[1] known by his stage name Herbie Mann, was an American jazz flautist and important early practitioner of world music. Early in his career, he also played tenor saxophone and clarinets (including bass clarinet), but Mann was among the first jazz musicians to specialize on the flute. His most popular single was "Hijack", which was a Billboard number-one dance hit for three weeks in 1975.

Mann emphasized the groove approach in his music. Mann felt that from his repertoire, the "epitome of a groove record" was Memphis Underground or Push Push, because the "rhythm section locked all in one perception."[2]

Good morning from here in our Florida radio station.

edgar, That bird of blue by Richie was great. Hurry back, Texas.

hbg, I love Herbie Mann and Greg. One of my favorite jazz guys.

Today is this great actor's birthday, and here is a tribute to him along with his Nero performance.
