facebook, can not see likes of my shared post???

Is it true that if I post a post on facebook and my friends share that post on their timeline, their friends like my post, but I can not see that they liked my post. their "Like" does not count up on the "like counter" under my post on my page???

They will get the likes on their share. If you are sharing from a page you can see how many shares and I believe one level of reshapes but that's it.
