I have air in my water lines coming into the house. Let me tell what we did, first. Was told to shut off the system and the water, while away on vacation. Came back turned on the water and the system. We have sputtering in the lines, coming into the house. We have a well, the problem is not coming from the well, because we shut off the system with water coming just from the well and there was no problem with air in the lines. What to do? Help!!!

Unless your well is not sunk deep enough and is sucking up air, it is a temporary problem due to pipes draining back into the well while you were away and it should go away, provided you have a good pump.
