I use windows 7 and was using an older version of skpe all the time
but now they are making me upgrade to the latest version and now the video doesn't work skype aren't interested in supplying a solution. I guess they don't care if i use it or not. has anyone else found a soution?

@nicolab,
Remove the previous Skype version (again) through your computer's Control Panel (remove program option). Then use your regular original Skype login to download the new version. Log back in again using the new version.

Lastly, possibly the video driver (software) that runs your camera may need a new driver. Try updating that camera driver software.

That should do it.
