Phone number in email spot on Facebook

I tried to delete an old Facebook account and somehow my phone number got put in the email place and now I cant log in at all. When I go to reset it the screen dosent show any email addresses to us and wont let me use the phone number. It says it belongs to another account, well I know it does its the one I am trying to delete. Can anyone help?
