We recorded a cover version of Sam And Dave's Hold On I'm Coming. It was the number one song on the local charts for 7 weeks and we were local stars. I was so sure I was destined for greatness. We all were. Laughing 48 years ago. Like smoke through a keyhole.

Two guys on my ship, 1964, could play any song you asked them to. To me it all sounded like surfing music, even when they did Runaway (Del Shannon). Some guy named Blankenship agreed to record a record, but only if they called themselves The Blankenships. I have often wondered if they made the big time. I forgot their names that same year. Wouldn't know them from Adam, today.

@blueveinedthrobber,
Nice guitar work Bear and the singers are dead ringers for Sam & Dave.
