I'm from Montreal (Canada), and I currently study at a local university. My reason for joining this forum is simple: I want to get advice on long distance relationships. So if you have any advice or personal experiences to share, please contact me.
For identification purposes, I am a 34-year-old male and am engaged, but we're separated because we made life plans together which resulted in us ending in different cities. It's hard for the both of us, but this is a decision we both made and unlike her I need lots of help because I am alone and isolated in the city. She has her family and friends. I need someone to talk too because every time I try to talk to her, she pretends all is well, which is not. I'm a firm believer that long distance relationships are possible, but some form of emotional contact must be initiated on certain occasions to keep the fire burning between a loving couple.
