I was wondering if anyone had come across the answer to 2 down in July BIG. I have 1 a. (buyer) - CONSUMER
17a. (orchestral curtain-raiser) - OVERTURE
28a. (pathetic) - PITIFUL
37a. (naming word) - NOUN and
45a. (charade) - MIME.
This leaves with me with N_E_T_OM. So far no one else has asked about it and this is really the only clue I can't fathom.
Is it possible that someone knows the word I am looking for, or do I have the wrong clues. If anyone can help, I would be most grateful.
Thanks,
Helyn
P.S. Just in case, the clue is 'rainbow's band of colours' (sorry I left that out - maybe it make a little easier to solve if you know what I am talking about!

Hi helyn2001
change 1a to customer and you will have spectrum for 2d. It's a bother when one word throws the whole puzzle out. Good Luck.
Lovatts July Goliathon - 1 ANSWER TO GO!
Dear Tuesday,
Thank you for such a quick response.
Even when I saw the word "spectrum" in reference to the word rainbow, I didn't see the error.
Best wishes
Helyn
