However I feel 'hung' could also be accepted by Lovatts, depends if they're looking for the present or past tense.

Well, "hung" is the answer. To be or not to be, the question is not "to put up", be it not "put up" that is the question?

I was thinking along those lines as well.
Put Up being past tense (Hung)
Puts Up or To Put Up being present/future tense. (Hang)
Then got totally confused.
Checked a few sites i.e. this one "Now you're ready, put up the curtain rod by following these steps: ... Hang the curtain and rod up on the window."
No "to" there and Hang sounds right. Beats me. Perhaps I need to buy another Book and have two bob each way. LOL

I have done some further research into "Put up"
"Put up" is what is described as a ERGATIVE Verb.
Ergative verbs can appear in the active, passive or middle voice.
Would appreciate further comment from others about Hang v Hung

I seriously think the entire debate isn't worth is because I am sure Lovatts would accept either
Well, that's my 2 cents worth lol, and I have no idea what I used because I have already sent it in
