Question is...can a new battery be installed with cables on backwards?
+ to- and - to + without any harm to the vehicles electronic components?

Checker Auto did this to me. Anybody have any similar experiences?
Thanks, Rod.

I've done it myself in the past. Embarrassed

It didn't hurt anything but some of the electronics inside the car didn't work until I switched the cables back to the right connections.

Yah, it shouldn't kill anything, but diodes will stop the flow of electricity.
