Hi reahannon
Confirming canoe's submission bar one.
I have "art" for 59a. however let's keep this one open and see if we get other responses who feel "act" is the correct answer.
Both could well qualify I feel.
Dutchy
The Thesaurus has act and art as synonyms of Drama. Possibly a tossup!
holiday ctyptic 61
I have the same answers as Dutchy except for 59a, I have act so I am hoping that farkha is correct and both answers are correct.
Hi Everyone, I put act for 59a. I know drama is an art form but if
you say someone is putting on a bit of drama they are usually acting.
Don't know if that makes any sense to anyone but me.
Maybe they will take both. I finally won a prize in the last Holiday
Collection - a lovely pen - the first thing I have won since moving to
Victoria -- yippee. Good luck everyone. I will probably be back for
help after I sort things out.

Well done Gwen, you are the 2nd one from our little group here that won a prize. I'm still waiting.
Dutchy
Congrats gwen.
Weighing in with my thruppenceworth. I believe "ACT" better fits the clue and that gwen's interpretation is correcT.
Good luck all!
At the moment, I art partial to act.
I started with art, but then changed to act after thinking a little.
"ACT" is a bit of a drama, where drama is a bit of "ART".... so I guess act fits better to the clue?
Maybe Lovatt's will take both answers?
