Hi, What is the Crossword Club? Tuesday, I know you are in ACT, so I'm assuming it's an Aussie one...is it a book or website? Thanks.

The crossword club is a monthly newsletter that is sent out to members.
it is an australian based group.
I think it costs $33.00 for 6 months and $66.00 for 12 months.
Each month you get a newsletter and 5 puzzles that you send complete and send away to go into a draw for prizes.

I think that covers it.

Thanks. Is it from this A2K site, or something independant?

The Crossword Club (Australia or NZ)
Hello,

The Crossword Club is great. You get five puzzles to complete each month, as well as two specials that you can pay a bit more to enter. I joined about six months ago, and have won a prize already, and the prizes are really good. I am sitting here with my puzzles right now, trying to find the last few elusive answers on google. It can be a bit of a challenge, but I do love a challenge, especially when it comes to crosswords which seem to be really dumbed down these days in most publications.

Australia: PO Box 203 Mona Vale NSW 1660. Phone (02) 9986 0888.
New Zealand: PO Box 91963, Auckland Mail Service Centre.
Phone (0800) 408 195.
www.crosswordclub.com.au or [email protected]

By the way, is there a slight grammatical error in puzzle #3 this month (June). The clue is "getting closer to" and the letters I have are N_A_S, which doesn't quite seem to fit the verb tense in the clue. This is the last clue I need, then I just have to rush to finish my June Lovatt's BIG on time.

Cheers from NZ,
Jody.

Hey Jody,
Try nears.

I don't know if it the answer as I haven't done mine yet but it might work for you.

Nears/Nearing.
Thanks,

I have put "Nears" as this seems to fit most closely, but then the clue for this should be "gets closer to", not "getting closer to", so I wondered if I might be missing something as I obviously was with "tottery/twittery". I have mailed it today, so that will have to do. Maybe I am being too picky - I do have that tendency. Very Happy

Good luck to all of you out there,
Jody.
