Hi Melissa,

The answers I have gone with are:

1d - oasis

138a - thrashes

65a - and

You could be right, both may be acceptable.

Good luck in the draw

Hello Melissa & Dutchy,

Yes the Demon had a couple of ones that took a bit of work.

85 d takin took a bit of finding as did 67d Trishaw. I think that Tolpuddle has made an appearance before. 51d cissing is one I can not remember seeing before.

I always keep my entries for awhile to see if anyone comes up with an answer that I may have wrong.

Glad I brought of little bit of sunshine to ya Dutchy.

Hate to ask you this but are you Female or Male. It would be nice to know who Im talking to (so I don't offend you that is).

So where to you hail from. I was originally from Ryde but after mum passed away I moved up to the Central Coast to be close to family (even though I don't see them) and to get away from the Ex or followed me up here. Might have to move to TimBuktoo surely he wouldnt follow me there (where ever Timbuktoo is).

Anyway done the housework, very quickly done. Shelby playing computer games and now to attach the Demon.

Take Care

Melissa

Hi Melissa

You are talking to a male, hope that doesn't put you off. Smile I live in Adelaide. Have fun with the Demon.

Talk to you soon.

No male of female doesn't put me off at all. I shall just remember to keep my male comments to myself.

Sorry after you have an Ex-Husband, your trust in men goes down a bit.

But you seem pretty cool. Gee us people must lead boring lives doing these god damn hard crosswords at time. But for me its an escape.

Anyway you were right, THE DEMON is a stinker. Im having so many problems you should see the white out.

I'll just keep slogging at it.

Melissa I can appreciate your comments. No, I don't think we're boring people at all, I'll lead a full life but can't watch the rubbish on TV, so I tackle every x-word I can find because I love doing them. With the help of my trusty computer I always manage to complete them but I must admit I have not had much success in winning anything. Sad

Dutchy. Enjoy your weekend.

Another spelling question... Im not sure which one is the proper 'english' version.

Is it caesarian or caesarean. I have always used the latter, but I looked it up in the dictionary for a change and all the ones I looked at gave me both.

Thanks

Valda, from memory the answer is Asses (plural of as). I do think I remember this question being asked in the thread somewhere recently already, although I do not quite remember where.
Wait for confirmation on that just in case, as I have already sent in my entry, but I am quite confident that is what the answer is.

Thank you for your help.
I knew that a small copper coin was an AS, but did not realise that Asses would be the plural, how unusual.
All ready for posting now, have never won a prize yet so maybe this is my lucky time.
