Hi guys.

Hope someone can help me. Im always putting the wrong A's, E's, I's, O's, U's in the wrong places.. You'll understand what i mean when you read my questions. I always stuff up.

71A. Military foray (6). I have ?OGTIE. Thought it might be Dog Tie but not sure. Or I have stuffed up the other answers, which I usually do.

39A. Illustrious (7). I have EMIN?NT. Is it A or E. This is where i totally balls up.

59D. Very Off-Putting (9). I have REPELL?NT. Is it A or E. This is another one that I totally balls up.

I know they are pretty lame requests. But I always seem to get them wrong.

Yeah I know Im a dummy.,

Melissa

Hi again Melissa,

I have reached for my dictionary this time.

71d - sortie

61a - fir

39a - eminent

59d - I went for the adjective repellant, noun is repellent.

I have not sent in my entry so will wait and see what answers you receive.

Hi Melissa,

Was hoping someone would clear up the repellent repellant question. I am getting different answers from different dictionaries but am now leaning towards repellent!

Hi Melissa & Vernamae

I've only just become aware of your discussion about 59d of the Big Cash.

I've gone for repellent: a reference below.

serving or tending to repel; "he became rebarbative and prickly and spiteful"; "I find his obsequiousness repellent"

Hi Dutchy,

Thanks for your input. I was leaning that way and will go with repellent. Spell check even rejected repellant!

Good luck with all your entries.

Hi E1, long time no post... been very very busy here lately.

Just need to clarify one in the BigCash.

Is the answer doles? I am missing the middle letter.

Thanks for the help. Hope everyone is keeping well.

Hi Tuesday

Try is an old friend of mine on the threads, he is just trying to stir my up, but as you will have noticed I didn't bite. Laughing

He is in fact a very clever individual, look at the riddle thread in a2k and you'll see what i mean!
