"If someone has a problem understanding a social situation, he or she may fail to understand the literal language"

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4566319.stm

-----------

Not that I think this is "IT"...just interesting to read.

I'd like to stick around, but right now I'm supposed to be playing in traffic, then I have to take a long walk off a short pier, followed by an afternoon of pounding sand...or was that salt, up my wazoo.

It might be like a mosquito bite situation...
stop scratching it, and it will stop bothering you.

scratch it and it will fester..

The article is quite interesting and I was thinking along these lines earlier

Quote:
"Many experts believe that the pattern of behaviour from which autism is diagnosed may not result from a single cause.

"There is strong evidence to suggest that autism can be caused by a variety of physical factors, all of which affect brain development."

Exactly, shewolf.

I saw the first post from craven on the other thread and my immediate thought was that it would turn into another tarbaby. I told myself to stay out of it, but found myself giving attention to it as well. It's a perfect tarbaby.

What I find disturbing in the blatant threat that she has investigated the members and has personal information on everyone here. She's made the statement more than once. Personally, I think its bullshit but the fact remains that it's either true or it isn't. If it is then there are serious reasons to be wary of this person. If it isn't then she's a lier. Either way whatever sympathy I might have felt at one time is long gone.

What I do think is appropriate is for the tarbaby threads to be identified as such and each of us can then choose whether or not to be drawn in by the tar.

I made no such threat. If you can show me I did then I will apologize.

I don't know why, but this thread reminds me of a song.
All together now....... a one and a two and a..........

We're a happy family
We're a happy family
We're a happy family
Me mom and daddy

Siting here in Queens
Eating refried beans
We're in all the magazines
Gulpin' down thorazines

We ain't got no friends
Our troubles never end
No Christmas cards to send
Daddy likes men

Daddy's telling lies
Baby's eating flies
Mommy's on pills
Baby's got the chills

I'm friends with the President
I'm friends with the Pope
We're all making a fortune
Selling Daddy's dope

TTH, read your posts in this thread, the one where martybarker posted a link, and the one where you stated you were paid to be here - I believe that one might have been on the PM privacy thread. I have no intention on spending the time or energy to post your own words back to you, particularly when they exist in this very thread.

I do intend on extricating myself from the tar of this thread and (hopefully) your future threads.

I have already cleared that matter up with the staff here. They are aware of my intentions.

I've done that several times since she arrived, and each time the growing sympathy is whapped by another incident of senseless agression, so I'm pretty much out.

I'm beginning to strongly suspect there is a hormonal condition contributing to these spurts of weirdness. Like clockwork, they seem to appear regularly between the second and third weeks of each month.

I really hate when that is used by others as the handy excuse to invalidate someone's grievances, but I've watched it recur long enough that it is obviously a factor in the generation of said grievances, valid or not.

TTH - The staff is familiar with your intentions? What the heck does that mean? What are your intentions?

No one else here has "Intentions." We just get together to chat, exchange ideas, share a laugh or two, and generally be friends.

I think we're dealing here with someone extremely naive and sheltered
who takes word for word literally down to the wires.

Or it could be gustav, playing out his femininity. Wink

It is 839 and as far as being naive and sheltered. Would you like to know everyone's real name and exactly who all the moderators are.[/u]

While I take 2 Packs a day's article seriously, and also agree with Calamity Jane, I see no use in chasing all this stuff further on my part.

not true . I have intentions. They are to enjoy myself, aggravate the piss out of those I choose to... interact in a friendly manner with those I choose to, and kill time until Montana finally sends me an image of her ass.
