Start by rewriting it as an exponential equation.

what makr means is

x^-3 = 64 (^ stands for "raised to the power")

Logs are EXPONENTS
log to the base 10 of 100 = 2 , is equivalent to 10^2=100

therefore log to the base x of 64 = -3

is equivalent to writing x^-3 = 64

ie 1 upon x cubed equals 64

when1/x^3 = 64

x^3 = 1/64 therefore x = one quarter ie, 1/4

Yes, but the general rule is that we dont actually "do" homework here!
