So sorry! I'll kind of be there in the back ground trying to cut her edge a bit..... it's what I do. Middle child, you know.

So I need only-child's and first-borns?

Mayhap all this digression will actually fit into fbaezer's discussion.

What personality types reflect the hierarchy of siblings. Hmm. It's enought to make me stop plotting against deb and ponder.

oops, nope. Just did, though.

"India parenting"?

In high school we learned a couple theories on birth order personality types. It's all very interesting. But, as the link shows, the theories don't seem to hold true across the board.

Hey guys, this thread livened!

pueo came out as a leader, a thinking, wiser than heartful, leader.

timberlandko, it seems, is some sort of "independent enthusiast".

I do believe there is a relationship between order of birth and personality. At least there are important upbringing differences. Oldest children have more burdens... except the burden of having an older sibling.

Craven, we may be silent, but we thank all your chores.

And yes, everybody is afraid of Deb. But she's afraid of taking this test!

I kinda like the ring of that! That would make for a great user-rank on my profile.

I'm the oldest of six, though my siblings consider themselves more mature ... ahem.

An amusing view of parent's attitude toward birthorder:
When the first arrives, every moment is special, every precaution is taken, the home is made as sterile and baby-safe as can be, every new experience is a treasure. By the time the fifth or sixth arrives, its "Hey, if you're going to eat out of the dogs dish, at least wait 'til he's done!"
