I couldn't hear your song without downloading a program so I'm still in the dark as to that. You're site looks great though.

I have a rather quirky entry but it came to my head as I was thinking about your question. I really love this song. I sing it to Mo all the time.

Quote:

I Remember You
Slim Whitman

I remember you-ooh
You're the one who made my dreams come true
A few kisses ago

I remember you-ooh
You're the one who said "I love you, too"
Yes, I do, didn'tcha know?

I remember, too, a distant bell and stars that fell
Like the rain out of the blue-ooh-ooh-ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo

When my life is through
And the angels ask me to recall
The thrill of it all
Then I will tell them I remember you-ooh

I remember, too, a distant bell and stars that fell
Just like the rain out of the blue-ooh-ooh-ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo

When my life is through
And the angels ask me to recall
The thrill of it all
Then I will tell them I remember, tell them I remember
Tell them I remember you

Perfect song for you...

Beatles - Here Comes the Sun

Quote:
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
It's all right

Ug.
holy hell chai... that is PERFECT.
Of course, I have to find it when I have no money to buy it Confused grrr

Im still trying to find all the other suggestions though.
I really want to hear Angel Kisses, but I cant find the album that it is on?
I have found a website that will let me sample songs , but you have to know the name of the album and not just the singer..

The Maurice song might actually work too.
I can remove one or two of the insturments , and make it more of a simple vocal song. Then, it might not sound so.. "Bar-ish"

If you want something fun and girly without being pop, try Tschaikowsky's ballet "The Nutcracker" - the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" is something very suitable for your purpose, I'd say.

Enjoy.

How about Sade's "The Sweetest Gift", a lullaby she wrote for her daughter?

there's an old song called "turn around" that is perfect for what you want. it's about a young girl growing up and the melody is also close to what you want i think. it was originally done by the folk group the kingston trio. here are the lyrics:

where are you going my little one, little one
where are you going my baby my own
turn around and you're one turn and you're four
turn around and you're a young girl going out of the door

turn around (turn around)
turn around (turn around)
turn around and you're a young girl going out of the door

where are you going my little one, little one
dirndls and petticoats, where have they gone
turn around and you're tiny, and you're grown
turn around and your a young wife with babes of your own

turn around (turn around)
turn around (turn around)
turn around and your a young wife with babes of your own

just in case you're not familiar with it... a dirndl is a dress. sorry but i don't know where you'd find this song unless you buy the cd on amazon.etc on the kingston trio's album. it was released in 1964.

So far, I have tried everything, and nothing quite fits..

The video shows the girls in what they do all day.
They are trading outfits, feeding each other, huddling on the couch and chasing bugs..

Im thinking.. maybe some quite instrumental music

I have a question about Shadowfax. There was a band by that name in Detroit many years ago, more than 30. Immediately after I moved to New ENgland, I heard of the band Shadowfax that you recommended. I wrote to their label to ask whether they were the same band that once was in Detroit but they never answered.
