...only thing that suprises me about this issue is that slappy doo Hoo hasn't sounded off yet, extolling the praises of bambi hunting, or at least explaining why its just good ole boys havin fun.
Slappy's prolly out tryin' ta round up ten grand.
No two ways about it. This is Sick Sick Sick!
Sounds like a variation on what happens in Las Vegas already. Not to mention all the weird-crap websites designed to shock and sensationalize for $19.99 these days.
A fantasy room at the local brothel (legal) is probably less than half the price of a Bambi hunt. If I was a female entertainer of that persuasion, I'd rather be hit by a paintball (for twice the money) than spend two hours doing all kinds of gad-awful things with a weird stranger.
(Pay money to get sick and twisted? Sounds like Hollywood, not Las Vegas!)
If you accidentally hit Bambi's mom, does Disney sue?
I would bet they would get a lot less business if the prey were both naked males and females and you were randomly assigned a gender. Or perhaps they would simply get a different type of customer.
Acquiunk--
Suppose both sexes were naked?
Suppose both sexes were naked--and both armed?
Suppose both sexes were naked--and seemingly armed. One paint gun would lack ammo?
I'm guessing the "both sexes naked" would eliminate most of the male customers. I don't think they'd like to be photographed without good tailoring.
As expected this was revealed to be a hoax used to promote the videos.
Supposedly Burdick is going to be prosecuted for slandering Nevada?!?!?!?!
That's the motivation, they were gonna try to get him for other technicalities.
I doubt any will stick.
I'm sure he relishes the attention. Headlines are far more effective, and infinitely cheaper, than self-funded advertising and promotion. A chunk of money courtesy the poor taxpayers of Nevada should generate considerable interest in the website ... which, after all, is the whole deal. All in all, I'd say it has been carefully calculated and cleverly implemented.
This used to be called guerilla marketting.
Now it's just the normal way to drum up business, for pretty much anyone.
How far will the media be used and manipulated?
Will news and advertisement gradually become the same thing?
This kind of marketing has been around for quite a while. PT Barnum used to do this. Not as outrageous but the same format.
"It seems the great humbug has been humbugged" is something he said (more or less, don't remember it verbatim) when his hoaxes were found out.
seems like the only accurate information you can get from the media is the advertising....
The media are SO easy to manipulate! Take it from me...I do it on a regular basis.
And you're absolutely right, dys...there are Truth in Advertising laws, but no such thing as Truth in Reporting.
