Hydroplane sailboat.

I did hydroplane motor boats last time around, but these are fairly new developments in the design of racing yachts. I watched the America Cup race today, at least one leg of it, and these yachts are the most incredible, fastest sailboats that exist. There are four hydroplanes on each boat, and they are thin and produce very little drag. The hulls are totally lifted above the water. Double Hulls. England beat America today.

Regarding the hydrofoil yachts: I was wrong in calling them hydroplanes. Hydroplanes are the motorized high speed unstable crafts that often disastrously flip. Hydrofoil Yachts are very stable crafts with foils which are wing-like and raise the hull of the craft a ove the water. these re the zenith of racing yacht design. Going upwind they can achieve twice the speed of the wind and have reached 56 miles per hour. Also it was New Zealand that was racing against America, and New Zealand is winning 3-0 with more racing next weekend.
