so pussy, you don't actually drink coffee then?
Laughing That is correct. Even the Britt from Costa Rica tastes not so good without the cream.

What is "low temperature"? (The best temperature for a good flavour is generally considered to be between 194°F and 206°F.)
The knob doesn't have temps on it, so I'm not sure. Definitely less than boiling (212°F) and you can definitely taste the difference.

The alarm goes off when the clock radio reads 6:26. That means that it
is actually 6:15. The Lovely Bride sets it up that way and She Has Her Reasons.

I stumble into the bathroom, drink a little water in, let a little water out. A
balanced life. I weigh myself, shake my head in disbelief and weigh
myself again. Usually it's the same result, but you never know.

Wash, shave the unbearded portions of my face, apply something that
says it smells like Ocean Surf to my armpits. Then I roust Nigel. He has
an alarm clock, but I usually need to roust him out anyway.

Down stairs to retrieve the paper from the porch, then set out breakfast
for Nigel, Clive, and myself. If no noise from upstairs yet, roust Nigel
again. Coffee should be brewed by then. Cup for me, cup for Nigel, the
rest for my travel mug and a thermos to take to work. Gotta cut down on
the caffein. Absolutely. Maybe when this bag of coffee runs out. Or not.

Eat breakfast, drink coffee, read the paper, roust Nigel again.

Get my lunch out of the fridge and put it in my gym bag. Get keys,
wallet, keycard, mobile phone. Threaten Nigel with unspeakable torment
if he doesn't get a move on.

Off to work.

Ha! I do the same thing. I also set each clock in the house ahead by a slightly *different* interval. This makes my husband crazy. We finally agreed that every clock in the house will be set exactly 5 minutes fast. He didn't buy my arguments that if it's exactly 5 minutes fast it won't WORK because it's too easy to mentally subtract 5 minutes... men. ;-)

I too live in a time warp.
The bedroom clock is set something like 15-20 minutes fast.
The bathroom, maybe 10 fast.
The kitchen is the correct time.

I used to do the same. It mattered not how fast the clock was set, or for how long it remained that way; when I first open my eyes, I believe whatever it says.

I don't try to manage my morning with enough precision for this to work either way for me. I'll start early or late, and then leave at the last possible minute according to the always-accurate cable-box-clock.

um, no, no timer in the bathroom.
With my morning, get up as late as possible-and still make it to work on time ways, that 10 minute fastness is enough to get me moving.

The rest of the time, after work, is usually spent in "lost time"
Like when I'm on A2K and I realize I should be doing others things.
"Where did the time go? Oh, I'll just read one more thread.."

it's fun looking back to my working days !
usually i get up earlier now then when i was working .
at the office parking lot i had a reserved spot Laughing , so i didn't have to worry about not finding a spot if i should be late .
at the municipal swimming pool (where we go in the morning) it's "first come - first served " - and seniors don't have much respect for anyone coming late - you are either there early or park some distance away Shocked
I WANT MY RESERVED PARKING BACK Question

My morning starts early...

Wake up at 5 (sometimes even earlier).
Make coffee (if my husband already hasnt) and chat with him, read the (events section of the) newspaper, do sudoku.
Check office e-mail.
If it's a monday, wednesday, or friday, rush to yoga class (close to my house) at 6 AM, and I return at 6:45 am.
On the other days, rush to music class.and return at 7 am.
Cook afternoon's lunch.
Fix breakfast if my husband hasnt already. (Breakfast is Indian too...Idli, dosa, poha...I can stomach cereal only once a week).
Eat.
Get dressed for office.
Leave for office at 8:30 am.

(And then, relax till 5pm at office Twisted Evil )

Lissen up-- I use my apartment building computers they provide for us since I've lived here. They have put in high-powered filters for any and or all words that are remotely pornographic-- the computer knocks me once I go to page 6. I have not been able to read anything after page 5.

Usually semi conscious by about 6.30am, alarm goes off at 7am, get up, bathroom stop, get brekky ready and eat it while watching morning TV/news, I like to know whats going on in the world and because i need time to wake up.
About 7.40 I get ready for work, 8.20 make lunch, leave at 8.30 for work, even tho Im meant to be there for 8.30.(I live 5 mins away).
Then it happens over and over and over...like Groundhog day.

I have no real mornings anymore. My morning ritual starts with me making my way home from work.
Early mornings are the most beautiful time of day to be out, I think. I soak that up walking and think.
I come home, pump up the music, strip, pee, put on some coffee, put on some comfies.
Turn on the comp. Check emails, check here. Drinking coffee and checking my phone messages at the same time.
Call back whoever needs calling back before they get to work. See who's around that day not working.

The rest depends on what I need or feel like doing. Usually some errands out, maybe the pool/gym, some visiting or go for lunch.
Always a 'nap' at some point, a bath (always a bath!), and more work.
