What's the life cycle of petroleum from undersea extraction

Anyone know the inputs, processes and outputs for petroleum starting from mining until product?
How many stages are there normally? How experts could guide. Thax.

They could be kinda useful ^ Hopefully...

Extract crude oil, refine it (fractional distillation), sell it

I'm sure there are more in depth points somewhere around, but that's about as far as I'd go with my knowledge.. Those are basic points around which you could research anyway.. There's probs someone on here with better up-front knowledge.... Confused
