I was really hoping I'd find that Nelson Riddle wasn't born in the U.S. (unlikely as that seems), but a quick check at imdb just revealed he was a New Jersey boy. So all I can come up with is

Nino Rota

Your scrupulosity isn't working for me this time (of course, it would help if I could remember what the game guidelines are).

From the UK?

Nicholas Rimsky-Korsakoff

I had no idea his first name was Nicholas!

Yes to Nicholas Rimsky-Korsakov. The guideline here for a composer is Yes to Entertainment, and No to Writer. That confuses me. (lol)

I guess the idea is that "writer" implies a writer of words, not music. But as long as we're consistent, who cares if it makes sense?

I can't think of one right now, but I'll post one when I get back from lunch.

I realized right after I posted that I it would have been more correct to use "Nikolai" for R-K's first name, but I was in a hurry, and the first website I found him on gave his first name as "Nicholas". Thanks for not correcting me!

Anyway, next up is

Actually, Nicky would also have been acceptable, Bree. Nicky Rimsky, is what I believe his pals called him. Very Happy
