Max Schreck is correct. He played "Count Orlov" in Nosferatu, which was the first, and silent film treatment of Dracula. (It was plagiarized without permission and Bram Stoker's widow wanted all copies destroyed)
Willem Dafoe played him in "Shadow of the Vampire", supposing that Schreck REALLY was a vampire. ("You can't eat my cast and crew- I need them!" "What about the script girl?")
"Max Schreck" was also the name of a character in "Batman Returns".played by Christopher Walken.
