I'll bet Dick Clark is the right answer, but here are a couple more guesses just in case:

David Copperfield (the fictional one)
David Copperfield (the real one)

Laughing You're not supposed to fall asleep yet, Mac. You're supposed to fall asleep just before the New Year countdown.

Would someone please take my turn? I'll be in and out of here and don't want to hold up the game.

Late, I'm late, I'm late - Frank Gehry, best known lately for the Bilbao Museum, as in titanium furls. Now being acclaimed for the LA Disney Hall (I have a friend who is a city planner who has big criticisms of it, my business partner loves it, I reserve opinion, haven't seen it. In any case, I think it is steel used there.)

Frank Gehry is home grown in my neighborhood, buildings of plywood in the 'ghetto' of Venice in the early years. Gagging me with a spoon, he is building his own house on a vacant lot six doors away from my house, which I sold cause I had to.
Guess, now, about spiralling property value and me irritated, especially since I am scraping money bottom.
Though I am amused and anxious to see what he does.

awaiting new initials, now that I have a day off to play...

Guggenheim Bilbao. Sensatez y imaginacion. http://canales.elcorreodigital.com/gastronomia/restaurantes/restaurante150303a.html has a wonderful photo of the museum with the review of a restaurant thrown in for good measure. I think it's one of the most exciting and beautiful buildings I've ever seen.

Highly recommend a trip there Margo, but don't eat the local speciality, cod pil-pil, the single most disgusting dish I've had in 80 countries and that includes bull's penis, dog curry and scorpion soup!

(I love the new Disney Hall! Have only seen it from the outside and am not an architecture critic, but to me it's a wonder!)
