Sorry for the interruption, but I just wanted to mention that, in one of those uncanny coincidences for which there is no logical explanation, Harold Acton -- whose name turned up on this thread a couple of days ago -- is mentioned in an article in today's New York Times. The Times article is about the restoration project that New York University recently completed on Acton's villa in Florence, which he left to NYU when he died. (Gee, what are the odds of someone osso used in a question having an Italian connection?)
