Whilst we are waiting for onyxelle to return with her set of initials, I though you might like to see a pic of whitby.

This is where Captain James Cook was born and raised, pretty innit?

At the very top of the photo you can just see Whitby abbey, supposedly the source of inspiration that made Bram Stoker write Dracula.

That's so pretty, Kev. Do you live near there?

Did you see my proposal for a new game? What do you think. I'm just waiting for Osso's comments before I post it:

WHERE AM I?

Pose the question in one of two ways.

1. Post a picture

OR:

2. Describe a place with 3 clues. i.e:

1.dry.
2. hot.
3. rocks .

Answer: (Zion National Monument)

Then we have 20 yes or no questions to get it.

The place can be general for instance: England.
Or the place can be more specific: 10 Downing St.

I'm wondering if we can do more mundane things like : dry. hot. rocks: Answer: Sauna

Or should we stick to more geographical or historical places?

What do you think?

Whitby is an hours drive away, you can see my buddy's house on that photo.

I think the new game has potential, but I think it needs some fine tuning,
hot, dry, rocks could be anywhere on earth, you could use four lives just finding which continent it was on, and if you add to that, it could just be a sauna, phew!

Well, I think we need to open this to people who can't post pictures. Do you think we should start the non pix with more clues? I think three is enough. And we're going to allow googling on this game. We can also fine tune as we go along. I really think three is enough. The three clues can be anything-- initials, dates, general location etc. annd more detailed than my examples of course.

But after what you said about the sauna , I'm convinced now it should be a specific place. As mac said: you can use Niagra Falls but not just "waterfall".

Yes I think "waterfall" would take forever to narrow it down.

How about we start off nice and easy, then if that isn't enough challenge we could "grade up"

Lets give it a go and see.

Don't you find me quite striking in my new look?
