While we are guessing what do you think we should answer for alive/dead if it is a fictional character without answering that it's fiction? Real or Fiction should be a seperate question. Also, that character could be alive or dead in the story!. Any suggestions?

(On fictional characters, i guess one might consider whether they were living or dead at the end of the story. For example, in The Heart of Darkness Mr. Kurtz would be very definitely dead by the end.)

That would keep it simple, then we'd still have to ask if they were real or fictional.
So: Fictional characters are considered real until they are determined to be fictional. Does that make sense?
(What about the Road Runner! Ha. Ha.)
