Just a little reminder:

Don't feed your pets holiday foods that are rich and potentially toxic. This list includes chocolate and alcohol, plus foods such as potato latkes, gravies and poultry skin, which can cause gastrointestinal upset. Embarrassed

Thanks New Haven, I knew about chocolate but have to admit I usually boil the gizzards for the cats. Is that a no, no too?

We've developed a nice alternative to latkes for the dogs. Carrot and potato, finely grated, a bit of egg and flour, patted out and baked in the oven. Both of my little dogs love them, and we actually make them if they've got 'wonky' tummy - seems to soothe them nicely.

Thanks for posting that reminder. So many people forget what dangers are lurking for their faithful companions.

Fatty foods should be avoided by the dogs and cats. HOWEVER>
I tend to give my dog a little treat now and then. Rolling Eyes
