The old radio shows were not The Jack Benny Show, or Fibber McGee and Molly: They were The Lucky Strike Show, with Jack Benny and The Johnson's Wax Show, with Fibber McGee and Molly.

The Bucky Beaver jingle went something like this: Brusha brusha brusha With the new Ipana Brusha brusha brusha It's so dandy for your teeth.

Quick Carl: My name's Quick Carl. I do everything fast

Sissy looking cowboy in white hat: I bet you can't eat a Marathon candy bar quick - Carl

QC takes candy and bites into it.

Old Timer(enthusiastically): Chocolate

Needless to say, QC bogs down in the eating, because the candy bar is chocolate coated taffy.

You Bet Your Life (Later retitled The Groucho Show) almost did not get on the air. Reason: The sponser, DeSoto, became upset that Groucho did not intend to wear the same outfit he wore in the Marx Brothers Movies. When he stuck to his guns, they relented. The show ended after several years when the public turned against all quiz shows because of the scandals.

The commercial advised to "Visit your DeSoto-Plymouth dealers. 'And when you get there, tell 'em Groucho sent you'"

During Lawrence Welk shows, they advertised some sort of supplement/vitamin/laxative...what was that stuff anyway?...SERUTAN (that's Natures spelled backward)

The Breck Girls

Coppertone (with Jodie Foster, in her toddler days, wearing a diaper being pulled down by a dog)

Little man in a straw hat: "You wanna HAWAIIAN PUNCH?!"

Everybody sing along: "See the U.S.A...in a Chevrolet..."

Timex watches (remember what they did to those?): "Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'..."

Samsonite luggage being dropped out of airplanes. (I learned later that Samsonite had to pull those ads. They actually lost sales. They made viewers think about damaged luggage, even though they weren't damaged in the test.)

"J-E-L-L-O..." (Bing Crosby sang it.)

"That's what Campbell's soups are, m-m-good..."

"K-E-double-L-O-double-good, Kellogg's best to you..."

The fun ones are the ones you remember when someone mentions it but you haven't heard or thought about it in decades!

This commercial was definitely a problem for pubescent kid with big new teeth coming in!
