Hi julksy

You can be proud, I'm still struggling with mine. Can only help you with a couple. I have the following for:

52d = therapeutic
76a = use

Someone may verify above. When I found the others I will post again unless someone else comes up with the answers.

Thanks Dutchy. Smile

Today when I checked my mailbox I found a letter from Lovatts.
A $50 gift voucher for the last Holiday Collection Cryptic....*yay*

I'll be looking for my name (Julie Friend), in the winners list next issue.

I appreciate all the help you have all given me.

Kudos to you all.

Hi julksy

Have worked on 69d, and have come up with 'series', and for 80a I submit 'treasures'. Trust one of the regulars will verify above.

Now do me a favour and tell me what you have for:
12a = a?o?e
35a = ?i?y?a?
36a = h???p
37d = ??w?r?s

Those are the only ones I still need to complete puzzle.

regards Dutchy

Hi julksy & tufdevil

'at one' I have considered and is most probably correct, presently can't link it up to the clue given though.

Perhaps someone else can?

I'm still wondering about 36A....Do you think it's 'hot up' or 'het up' ?

Dutchy.....I can't quite explain the clue either.....at one perhaps is linked to 'in tune'.....I even read it as one word 'atone' but it still doesn't tie in......It just 'feels' right......*shrugs*

Julksy I think 'het up' is the way to go for 36a. Have a look at the following explanation from a dictionary and see what you think:

het up

adjective

2. worked up emotionally by anger or excitement; "was terribly het up over the killing of the eagle"; "got really het up over the new taxes"; "he was suddenly het up about racing cars"

I think you're right.

Het up sounds like the correct anser.

Hi again, Dutchy

12A The clue is "in tune with a bad note"

At one = of the same mind = in tune with

A (bad) note = at one (anagram on note)

OK?
