Which musical expression might be used when referring to someone adopting a subordinate position?
Which famous book ends with the words 'Until we have wiped the last one from the face of the land they have usurped? The Day of the Triffids???
Many thanks for help.

Quizzes again
Hi, Upandrunning, how are you?

For the first question all I can think of is "playing second fiddle". Does that sound right?

Don't know about the book. Will let you know if I come across the answer (if no-one else has answered first).

Hi there Tufdevil, never thought of that one! I've been looking for musical terms and nothing seemed to fit, so maybe I'll go with that. Many thanks for answering.
Hello mac11, thanks for the confirmation, I have never read the book so have spent time trawling the internet. Next stop was going to be the library. Many thanks for replying.
