His "You Erroneous Zones" was my very first self-help book. Then "Pulling Your Own Strings". I began to practice much of what he preached way back then, in my early twenties and now, because of his teachings, 30 years later I find that alot of the garbage, the sadness and the delusions that other people drag around all of their lives simply have no place in my world. My biggest problem is finding the patience needed to exist with the unenlightened.

One of his most memorable lessons for me was about guilt trips that others try and put on you and learning not to succumb to them. Also, refusing to accept blame for someone elses' feelings and never allowing anyone else to have power over your own.

I believe my life, and my outlook, is much more balanced than many I've encountered throughout the years because of Dr. Dyer's teachings.

I had a cassette set of Your Erroneous Zones, which I played over and over, even on the job. I believe it helped me more than anything in that time of my life.

I love Dr. Dyer.

Thanks for the quote link.

"When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself. "
Wayne Dyer

That's exactly what I was trying to say on the Dys / cjhsa thread the other day.

I saw Dr. Dyer talk about the Power of Intention on PBS several years ago, then bought the book last year. So much of what he says is spot on.
