Could someone put me right regarding 180a and 182d where they meet.
If 180a is Abu Simbel, that makes 182d ba-l (stable partition) I thought at first that this was WALL but I must be wrong!
I would appreciate some help. Thank you

Hi anng,
Try BAIL for 182 down
Cheers,
Hi Sumi,
I had a look at the answers for bail but couldn't get the sense of what they mean?
I know I probably sound a bit thick over this, but could you let me know?
Thanks
anng
Hi anng,
In my Oxford dictionary there are 6-7 explanations for bail and the once of interest says:
1. the wall of the outer curt of a fewdal castle
2. a crossbar
3. a bar to separate horses standing in an open stable
4. a framework for securing the head of a cow at milking
etc,
I used item 3 to get my answer so hope I am right.
Oops! I should check my typing BEFORE submitting.
I meant to say the ones of interest.....
Hi Sumi
Thank you!
None of mine gave any explanations as deep as that. Which Oxford is it? I'd really like one that goes into words more than the obvious.
Again, thanks

Hi anng,
Glad to help!
The dictionary I resort to when all else fails is the New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary. It consists of two big, fat books A-M and N-Z and cost a mint but my darling husband decided we needed a decent dictionary when I kept asking for his input while doing crosswords - at least he gets some peace now....
Good luck.
Thanks for the info Sumi,
I'm going to look out for one.
