Does it strike anyone else as odd that C.I. is spending his birthday at home? I'd have expected an exotic locale for the big day.

Hey, why don't you PM him and ask him, if you're really interested... Seems like an odd "friendly" thing to ask in open forum. It's his day- he can spend it anyway he'd like.

Damn, snood -- it's just a friendly ribbing about CI's passion for travel. Sorry about my midwestern circuitous way of wishing somebody well, but lighten up, man.

So, for the sake of clarity and directness --

Happy birthday, CI! May your journeys in the next year be as full as your journeys in the last.

The BIG question seems to be why I am spending my birthday at home. Well, there are several reasons. 1. My wife still works, and she's taking me out to dinner tonight. 2. I've been selected to the Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury, and we had a meeting yesterday. 3. I'm already finished with watering my garden. 4. Started working on my sister's 2002 income tax return (yes, she filed an extension). And 5. I love interacting with you guys on A2K. Besides, it's kind of warm outside today. Wink c.i.
