Hi everyone..
For my maths gcse coursework i have to do an investigation on number stairs on number grids.

See the problem is, have to find formulae for any size stair on any size grid.

I have got as far as finding the triangular formula, but apart from that, i am completely dumbfounded.

Has anyone out there had to do the same coursework and know how to help me?

what kind of number grid? 1-100? Look for patterns. If you step up one and over one, what's the difference between the number you started with and the number you ended on?

Yeah it is.. but then i have to go further and find a formula for any size number stair on any size grid.. any ideas?

use the bottom left corner call it n then put it in a new triangle

n+20
n+10 n+11
n n+1 n+2

this then = 6n +44

this algerbraic method gets u a C but if you say things like you cant have squares in certain areas ie 9 and above 10 and above 81 side ways 91 sideways you get more marks

altogether you get a c plz help me with part 2
