Well, today I officially got hired on at the assisted-living care home I talked about above. My first day is March 3rd.

It's a "casual position", so it's sporadic. That's fine for me, as I only want to do it a few hours a week. I already know that I will be working 52 hours for March and I think that will work out just fine.

A very self-important college freshman attending a recent football game,
took it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen sitting next to him
why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his
generation.

"You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one." The
student said, loud enough for many of those nearby to hear. "We, the
young people of today, grew up with television, jet planes, space travel,
men walking on the moon, our spaceships have visited Mars. We have
nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed
processing and...," pausing to take another drink of beer.

The Senior took advantage of the break in the student's litany and said,
"You're right, son. We didn't have those things when we were
young........so we invented them. Now, you arrogant little fart, what are
you doing for the next generation?"

The applause was resounding..

Qualifier: "I may have been there for much of it, but I didn't invent any of that stuff."

I applaud him as well. Nothing ever changes.

I remember for those of us that became of age in the '60s that the older generation then "didn't understand us" either.

Things go round in circles.
