Who, I hear you ask?
Only one of the most influential men in the music industry.......among others, he was responsible for bringing us Led Zeppelin, Aretha and Ray Charles.

And of course on a personal note we lost Jerry B. this year on the last day of February when the cancer won out. A slip of a man who was always trying to get me riled about the latest Yankee trades or some terrible thing Steinbrenner had done. Oh, Jerry could talk your ear off. I once stood in front of a store for over an hour as he went on and on. Every so often he'd indicate his time constraints and then launch into another subject. Another time I walked by him and a fellow talking on a street corner, two hours later when I came by they were still in the same spot. A good man and missed by just about anyone who ever met him. It was about impossible not to like Jerry.

How do I break this news to you Farmerman? Orbach has been dead since 2 years ago yesterday. He died December 28, 2004. Check NNDB.com and also the Imdb.com site as well as IBDB.com and of course there is also
Dead Or Alive Info.

My resolution for 2006 is to check my facts before I post anything of a supposedly factual nature
That's okay, farmerman, I enjoyed your reminder of Jerry Orbach. Not all is lost.
Farmerman, that song always reminds me of John Candy, and that wonderful car scene in "Planes Trains and Autos"
My dear Uncle K., on May 28th.
Mlud, Thats what reminded me , I just saw PTandA yesterday on a Holiday movie marathon .
Jes--I hope he had a good life.
He was a wonderful man, easy to miss over the holidays. Thanks for taking notice.
Uncles are some of the best memory providers. I had a bunch of really great and some looney uncles all of whom occupy special places .
He was also the last Uncle left on my side, and we never see RP's uncles any more. Except, of course, RP himself is an Uncle.
