I suppose, because we are in Australia, we get
our books sent out regularly but I am now
working on The Stinker in the Holiday
Collection and this is all I have left until I get
The Big which is my favourite.

I also give some of these books to my friends
as presents but I get the whole lot but can't do
a whole Crypic yet but am working on that. It
keeps me sane!

Start doing the cryptics. There are some real wizards here who always come across with, not only the answers, but also explain the logic (or illogic, unlogic, antilogic) for the answer. I started with lezzles and Dutchy's help and can now complete 90% of the Cryptic.

I began working on that crossword puzzle today, and can confirm what Farkha indicated. Scratch is what I ended up with too along with Pence.

I am looking for confirmation on which is correct with the following.

144 Across Clue "Held in store" Answer ?T?C?E?

I was all set to write in "stOcked" but then had a brain wave it might be "stAcked".

I would appreciate some feedback as to which would be the one to go for.

I have had to dig out the answer sheet out of my envelope
almost ready to go to Lovatts.

I have STOCKED for 144a but I guess it could also be STACKED.

Perhaps one of the Gurus can advise.
