This one isn't button-down but it has better sleeves and fabric than others I've turned up:

I think I'll wait 'til I get more directions from shewolf before getting back to it...

Can you say how much longer?

It's possible that the larger sizes are a lot longer than the one shown.

I noticed that they customize -- they say that they assume a "B" cup on standard sizes and to contact them if you want it to be larger. Maybe you can contact them and ask it to be much longer?

A picture would be great! Also great if you could say which aspects are most important to you, since from our searches so far it seems like it would be easier to find something LIKE it than an exact replica. So, for example, is the shape most important and fabric doesn't matter? Is it important that it's cotton, and sleeve length between elbow and bracelet would be fine? Etc.

My camera is in my car, so it will have to wait until Ian gets back from the store.

Alot of the designs you guys have found look similar.. but not quite the style I have.

I want one almost exactly like the one I have because I have a hard time fitting regular tunic style shirts because, in order for the shirt to fit across my chest, I have to get one almost 2 sizes bigger then I would normally wear. That leaves me looking like I am wearing a tent.

This one shirt cut was perfect, and I have seen shirts this exact style before on people.. but I dont quite know what they are called.

I have this sinking feeling that they are pricey.
I got lucky in finding this one , we will see.

I need / want one that is long. To my knees would be nice.. longer is ok. Like the ones FD posted.
WOW!
I want one of those.

This shirt was also very straight cut under the arms. It did not have a curve to it like most shirts do.

To me, i t looked like THIS, but of course, ment for women, and with out the collar.

would something like this from my beloved eshakti work?

I like them since they seem to be endlessly customizable - and not frightfully expensive.

this is the one I have.

I cant really find a good place to hang it up so you can't see it very well, but the sleeves at the bottom are larger and it is , well WAS, almost knee length

I had a lightning bolt last night when I was surveying my closet, but ehBeth has rendered it pretty much rendundant.

Still:

Salwar kameez.

It's what Pakistani women wear, over matching pants.

That accounts for the length.

If ehBeth's place doesn't come up with what you want, just searching for "salwar kameez" should get you a zillion options.

Also called kurta pyjama I think, though maybe that's more for men? Here's the relevant section at Eshakti:

Yeah. that is it!

Right on the nose.

I knew it had a 'title' I just didnt know what it was.

My old shirt ( the one in the picture) has turned into jillians play clothes.

I learned from looking through all the sites here that I think mine was NOT ment to be a wash an wear.
I am thinking it was a hand wash ( if at all ) and lay to dry.
But you dont get those kind of directions at Goodwill.

I also think the one I had was hand made. I can tell by the diffrence in the stitches in the sides and arms.

(sigh)
Can ya tell I loved that shirt? ha!
