I am going to keep an eye out for it, I was thinking early 60's. I don't remember much before 1975

Here's some stuff on Gabor Szabo -

http://www.dougpayne.com/bio.htm

I had five albums. Might have culled Spellbinder by now.

I love music, but I don't understand in the way that some of my friends do.

I had a boyfriend once who was a philosophy major, and liked math and physics. All of those make me dizzy, and they seem to be something of a package for people who really get music. His roomie at the time, or one of them, as those were times of changing roommates, was a pal of one of the Byrds.

I'm just an emotional music listener. No analysis from me.

I give up. A lot of great people performed at the old Lighthouse, but now it's a Famous Lighthouse Cafe. Phooey.

Sublime, I loved those clips you put up!

And now, for your consideration, something that no respecting "favorite live guitar solos," thread should be without, I give you...Jimi.

And as for something different, sublime, I'll see your Claypool and raise you a pair of Wootens.

This is Prince a bit before he hit superstar status...pre Purple Rain the film...the performance is somewhat on the raw side, granted it is still contrived, but not as much so as the highly polished stage show seen in the movie or later...just watched him doing a set, live in London, he blew thru Purple Rain like Bob Hope doing one of his old routines in double time.

The video is long, but if your a fan, that's a good thing. And this version does contain the missing lines that were cut.
