Really? I was somewhat underwhelmed by that.
I prefer something with a little more guts.
How about this?
Laurindo Almeida at the Lighthouse, forget the year. Maybe '67.
Gabor Szabo at a club in Hollywood, forget the name but a famous at the time place.
Julian Bream, with lute, at Royce Hall in the sixties. I know, not guitar, but still.
(liked that Stevie Ray Vaughn snip)

I'll see your SRV and raise you two B's
King high
Mmmm, I like BB a lot, but haven't seen him live.
I never saw BB or SRV either but I have seen Buddy several times and he is unbelievable.
Here is a clip of Buddy and Carlos playing together.
All right, I'm saving that one.
I have a cd called Strange Brew with Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy jamming together, I wish I could post some of the back and forth between those two.
And now for something completely different.
The Bass Master
Here's Almeida with the MJQ...

I have an album with him and them, Contemplation. Very cool.
I liked that guy. Too bad it shut down Safari...
I'll listen to you, Sublime, and put that cd on my amazon wish list.
I screwed up, the album isn't Contemplation, but Collaboration. Currently unavailable on amazon -
Collaboration
You are ending the thread since none of us got all excited about your youtube selection?
I am not sure of its availability, my copy says "for promotional use only". Eric Clapton is only on a couple tracks but the cd has some great music if not the best recording.
Almeida was excellent, that is some smooth guitar work. How old is that recording?

Sorry, it was a joke, meaning "This is my favorite"

.
I've watched the BB king and SRV ones. They just aren't my taste in music, really. But they are both very good. I'll watch the rest in just a sec.
Well, it's in the garage, probably warping as we speak. But, probably late sixties. I'll google and find out.
Collaboration was a revered album at the time.
OK, got the joke now...
I added something nicer after my snippy remark, but couldn't post it.
