Well, since I figured a tree would be a windbreak, I thought of knob-wood, smells like oranges and grows in South Africa, but I can't find you a picture. This is what I did find:
Evergreen tree indigenous to the Gauteng Region:
Zanthoxylum capense - Small Knobwood.
Small, evergreen tree. Knobs on trunk.
Isn't it wonderful how we learn something every day.
