The Bible says woman was created from the rib of a man? Does that mean man has one fewer bone than woman??
Sssssh, Green Witch. Let him talk.
There are just so many damn openings on this one for one-liners, but I am exhausted after spending the day in the mines.
I hope Slappy comes along and does this thread justice.
Gus, She (I think Mistapoo is a she) might have escaped from a fundamentalist Christian homeschool and I think we should help her.
Actually, men have one MORE bone than women.
OK that's enough. Based on my feeling that Mistapoo is young and naive I looked up the answer for her (I admit I didn't know for sure) :
The adult skeleton contains 206 bones, the skeleton of an infant contains 350 (the bones fuse together as you grow). And more than half of your 206 bones are found in your hands and feet.
Mistapoo, the story of Adam and Eve is creation myth, it is not literally true- meaning it is a symbolic fairy tale.
There are many creation myths and they are very interesting to read. I hope you will take some time and learn about all the different ways people tried to explain how we were created before science came along and took all the poetry out of the it.
Not sure Mistapoo, but would you like one more in yours?
Gus has an extra.
if the body is smashed up a bit, it will have more bones or bits of bones than unsmashed bodies.
hope this helps
Both men and women have 12 sets of ribs.
I think you mean 12 ribs. 12 sets would make walking difficult.
