You and your skateboard continue in the same state of motion or rest unless acted upon by an outside force. Specifically, you must apply force to accelerate, and once you are in motion, you will continue in motion until the force of friction finally reduces your speed to zero.

Sounds like someone who would rather be a critic than a coach. You don't have to give him the answers, just direct him/her to resources he can read and understand.

Does that make you lazy too?
