This one is so much weird but I am kind of curious about how a 'homosexual gene' is passed to offspring.

Homosexual behaviour in animals : an evolutionary perspective / edited by Volker Sommer, Paul L. Vasey.
Cambridge ; New York : Cambridge University Press, 2006.

St. Lucy's Home For Girls Raised By Wolves by Karen Russell
Vintage, c. 2006

"This collection of 10 stories was one of the most praised debuts of 2006. Russell, a mere 25, makes magic with her scintillating tales of the Florida Everglades, where families wrestle alligators and dive for the ghost of a dead sister. Mover over, Flannery O'Connor."

-- as reviewed in the Globe and Mail, Saturday, August 25, 2007.
