Wanda57 - Apparently, from all of your questions, we can conclude that you are having difficulty absorbing the basic concepts of algebra. Giving you the answers will not help you. You need to let you teacher, and your parents, know that you are having trouble, and attempt to get you some extra help.

When I was in high school, I had a hell of a time with plane geometry. For the life of me, I could not make head nor tail of the subject. At the mid-term, I had a 44 average in the subject.

My parents got me a tutor. In about four sessions, by having the one-on-one learning, I was able to "ace" the final!
