Hi avalonOO
Welcome to a2k
For 193d I suggest 'disrupt' and for 298a 'teapoy'.
Are your letters for 201a correct, as for the moment I can't seem to find a word for it.
Hope this helps.
Yes, Dutchy, looks like a h is missing in order to do silhouet

Hi Everybody
My entry has gone so I can't check my submission, however on reading Tuesday's submission I seem to recall 'mindset' is the correct answer.
Sorry Francis but your word is 8 letters and a 7 letter word is required.
My dictionary gives me the following clues for 'mindset' hence I'm fairly confident that this is the correct answer.
results for: mindset

Hi Avalon00 For 189d you need rubric and for 71a I have hoax. Cinnabar is the answer for 28d. Maybe the expert Dutchy will confirm for us. Good luck in the competition. By the way I photocopy the crossword grids, work out the puzzle on the copies and then transfer to the originals, I can scribbble possible answers on the copies and I keep the magazines for a while after so I can generally refer back if I have sent in my entry.
Anyhow good luck with your entry.
Regards Tuesday.
Hi Avalon00
Tuesday answers are confirmed:
Rubric
The rubric should state the number of questions on the paper and clear instructions about the number of questions to be answered must be given. The rubric should state if formulae, data or extracts from books are attached to the question paper. The rubric should also state what materials are provided with the question paper and/or what additional materials students may bring with them into the examination room
de‧cep‧tion
1. the act of deceiving; the state of being deceived.
2. something that deceives or is intended to deceive; fraud; artifice.
hoax
1. something intended to deceive or defraud: The Piltdown man was a scientific hoax.
2. to deceive by a hoax; hoodwink.
cinnabar
1 : native red sulfide of mercury HgS that is the only important ore of mercury
2 : artificial red sulfide of mercury used especially as a pigment
Keeping a photo stat of your copies is a good idea, I forgot to do it on this occasion.
Good luck with your entry.
