Cluewords 64. Baffler

Hi willywagtail!

Seems I must be the one sleepwalking.
I guess I assumed it was the Colossus 106 Baffler, which I have posted off and did not keep a copy.
Somewhere, very recently, there has been a clue on American desert formation and the answer was BUTTE (and it would have been a Lovatts).
(which is why I wrote "from memory")
Have I led tuesday astray?

Butte is correct.

The online dictionary has the following meaning "an isolated hill or mountain rising abruptly above the surrounding land. " So I have Butte.

I am however having trouble with Midwests's.....Trail. The only one I know of is the Oberon Trail, but that is in Victoria. I assume, Midwest is referring to the USA.

The Oregon Trail was always being mentioned in the westerns. Does that fit?
