I like to stretch - it feels good and keeps me limber.
Another of my favorites by him- even though they sing off key I still think he's a genius for writing this melody and these words :
I didn't say he, himself, is unrecognized. He's not unrecognized as a man or as a musician (in Canada or the US- although I've yet to find very many Europeans of my age who know who he is - which is what surprised me and prompted my original sentiment and title of the thread)-or even as an innovator and inventor.
But as you just expressed, what I believe to be his particular brand of musical genius - is thought by many to be debatable or even nonexistent- thus unrecognized-- by many people.
That's neither here nor there for me though in terms of my appreciation of his genius and music.
